n, we love a good proposal story!  Claire and Eduardo's engagement has all of our hearts throbbing!  Hear the story from directly from the groom here! From the Groom:

As I think back on our international engagement story, I am not sure what I have done to deserve all the blessings I have gotten in life; I could argue that life has been unfairly kind to me. Of those blessings, the biggest one has been meeting the love of my life, my wife Claire.

Everything in life seems to follow a natural process, the so called circle of life – a caterpillar turns into a cocoon, and eventually into a beautiful butterfly, two people meet, date, get engaged and get married- . For me, having spent two and a half enchanting years dating Claire did not seem to follow the natural process, after having known her for just a couple of weeks, I knew this was the woman I wanted to marry.

Our relationship had flourished into a beautiful bond, filled with joy, romance, adventure, and excitement. One of our favorite activities is exploring a foreign place; being immersed in the foreign culture, a romantic adventure. I thought that her love for romance, elegance, and culture would make Paris the ideal place to propose to her. I wanted to do something different than the “traditional” locations in the city, so I got in contact with the

Louvre

about getting access to the Crown Jewels room and setting up the engagement ring with the rest of the jewels. For insurance reasons they were unable to do so, but that they would gladly accommodate the room so that I could propose there.

After a few months of planning, and with the help of the best consultant,

Gold Leaf Event Design & Production

we planned a trip to

Paris

in November with the excuse to go to a ball. The day came and I asked her if she wanted to go to the museum with me, the crown jewels were being exhibited, and I knew how much she liked ancient and vintage jewels. I did not expect so many people to be at the exhibition so we had to wait for a while before the room emptied out. I tried to discretely ask the guard to take a photo while I proposed, but I guess my French was somewhat rustier than I thought. Finally, I approached her and talked to her a little bit about the history of the Jewels and what they each represented, and when we were about to finish the exhibition and she was looking inside the glass, I kneeled down –extremely nervous because there was a group of tourists just entering the room- and asked her to make me the happiest and luckiest man on earth. Let it be known that the best photos are probably in the other tourists’ cameras, the security guard did not do such a good job of capturing the moment and the pictures came out blurry.

She said "yes", we called both of our families to share the joy of our enchanting day.
