Wedding Website Insight

A wedding website is a great source for information, especially for destination hosted events. Must haves include, the times and locations for your wedding ceremony and reception, transportation information, specialty attire based on your venue and location (e.g. bring a sweater, wear flats, etc.), airport arrival and departure locations based on proximity to hotel options, wedding room block information, and gift registries.

Do not list additional events in which all wedding guests are not invited. For example, if a rehearsal dinner is being hosted for out of town guests only, remember in town guests will also view your site. To avoid confusion, guests invited certain events that others aren’t can receive additional information in regards to those via a welcome booklet upon arrival.

To the bride and groom: Do not include your personal phone numbers or email addresses. To keep stress and questions for you to a minimum, include your event planner’s email or phone number instead. This goes for your welcome booklet as well.
